When a tooth is extremely damaged due to decay or fracture, it may be necessary
to remove and replace the tooth. Additionally, an extra tooth that is blocking
other teeth from coming in or that is causing overcrowding can be extracted to
make room for the other teeth. Wisdom teeth also often need to be extracted because
there is not enough room in the mouth for them to come in.
Dr. Krause will likely initially try to repair
any teeth which are damaged, but when the damage
is too great to be fixed with a crown or filling,
a tooth extraction may be needed in order to resolve
the situation. By conducting the removal properly,
you will be able to experience a removal with little
or no pain after the procedure and a faster healing
time with a reduced risk of infection.
